Hunting Blue Grouse again, Blaze looks so small in the big trees. She really had a good time. Me worried she would find a Porcupine, and her as interested in the Squirrels as finding a Grouse.
Working a ridge near where I had seen Grouse before. The view was spectacular.
Once figuring out the Grouse where at a lower elevation than this time last year, we did connect. The first one I walked right by and past, but Blaze winded it, broke off heal and pointed it out to me.
The Weminuche Wilderness kept calling
me back. I had seen a bigger Cutthroat while fishing up in there and wanted
another try at it. Picture is not so great, but I only made one try with the
camera so I could immediately release the fish. I did not get an exact
measurement, but it was over 15 inches.
The Brook Trout where always willing, sometimes well after sunset.
