Guarding Russian prisoners in Poland, 1914. Commission 88 carried by a very young soldier wearing a Greatcoat.
Thanks Greg Urban "Kraigmeister" for this unusual picture of U.S. Marines with M88s.

Postcard showing United States Marines on a shipboard firing detail of some sort with German M88 Commission Rifles. ?????

An older soldier holding an 88/05 with a plate over the bottom of magazine. These were charger loaded with stripper clips.

Joram van Miert in Holland pointed me to this great picture. It is from Stephen Bull, "Twentieth-century Arms & Armour". Notice the use of the wire sling keeper on the cleaning rod.
