One strategy with the Grouse I discovered was walking the closed forest or logging roads. Basically  to find Grouse that are graveling. Made for some easier walking too. I could always cast Blaze to the sides to search out Grouse also.

Surprisingly I was seeing Dove in some of the forest clearings. Does not show in the picture, but there was one here. This was at probably 11,000 feet.

Looking off a Cliff, below you can see two Elk Wallows. I bowhunted here last year, though the wallows where in a different location then. I did walk up on a Bowhunter just after shooting a Grouse. Having felt bad about messing up his hunt, I did find he was not seeing much anyway, so showed him the location of the wallows. Turned out he was from Texas and we had hunted the same lake in Texas last year. Small World.

Then off to do a little sightseeing. The ghost town of Summitville and the Summitville Mine

Blaze taking it all in.

Blaze pointing out some Trout for me. "Right Here!" if she could talk.
