The next morning I explored a little, enjoyed the views, and did take a walk looking for Sage Grouse again

Dog boots were required, but often it was not enough.

But there was beauty in that desert.

This Elk Skull looked like a good place for a portrait.

Having received an invitation for a Snipe hunt, Blaze and I then backtracked back to Eastern Eagle County. There I met up with Mike "Snipeonpoint" on the Snipe Hunters Forum. Very different habitat than I was used to for hunting Snipe. I was truly amazed to be hunting Snipe at such elevation.
