November 16, 2008 - Western Oklahoma Goose Hunt day two
Sunday morning the sky had a cool color about it over the decoys.
Few Geese flying early, but they did come eventually. The
winds had gone. The Geese today would only move in huge groups from water to
fields, fields to water. Unlike the day before, they showed very little interest
in our calls or decoys. Most shots where pass shooting.
Mark turned my Sweater and a spare decoy stake into a Goose
Flag.
Did not take as many, but the Geese this
day were bigger than the day before. I was awestruck and did not take a picture
of them, but before the hunt ended we had one great mass of geese fly over. All
species mixed. We had several flights over us during the hunts, but this one was
bigger than the others. It was breathtaking. Something you can't capture in a
photo.
That's is all for that day. Pulled Camp, ate Ham and Goose
Water sandwiches from the cooler, did some networking with a volunteer
firefighter friend in the area for future hunts, and drove back to the Metroplex.
November 16, 2008 - Poor Dog Ok, I had to take a picture. My Wife and
Son was goofing off playing with the dog in the other room and I could hear them
laughing. This is what I saw when I walked out of my home office just now. Blaze
was humiliated!
